Valentine's Day poem

This Drop

A drop of blood I send to you

within this card you'll find

it came directly from my heart

into this Valentine

 

I'm sending it to prove to you

most intimate of mine

You are the one I love the most

for you I find the time

 

This blood red rose I send along

whose thorn is what I used

to prick my heart until it bled

to send this drop to you

 

I swear upon this drop of blood

I've loved you from the start

This is as close as I could get

to sending you my heart
