Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks

A Poem by Michael G Jameson
"

A tribute

"
Rosa Parks

 When in life
 one deed by others see
facing down supremacy
the right to stand or sit is free
an equal opportunity

To demand another person rise
with racial benefit implied
 immoral hate some people hide
freedom just idealized

Sometimes we're wrong
there's no debate
and if you find
you hesitate
accepting others' racial states
your life you need to contemplate

Rosa Parks was right to fight
equality her tool
she stood upon this moral right
she'd be nobody's fool

Here's to you my sleeping friend
forever we'll remember
the name of Rosa Parks will be
an ever burning ember

Thank You very much, I wrote it when she passed. I always admired her, one person standing her ground for moral reason. 8-)
