Brought back memories of ones’ youthful days…

…St. Catherine, Jamaica, West Indies

Every Sunday on the radio waves were broadcasts

Programs based in religious advisory

But as a child

Reasons for such interest in attention spans

Did not stem from any attempts to save ones’ innocent and pure soul

No!

It was the location, from where broadcasts instituted that sparked interest

With hope and aspiration for one day’ visitation…

…'many apples, many sodas’

It was a real place!

And if people lived there, then they must be having always a grand old time

Contrary to conventional wisdom

The most important teachings in ones’ informative years

Comes down to not what is being said

But what is actually being heard

Some of the standard stereotypes

Borne out of what adults at that time were thinking and saying…

…try to remember your own youthful years

In Jamaica, they came to collect as much donations as possible

Monetary and souls!

This program however originated from a place that had to be delicious

Far from homeland Jamaica

Filled with abundance in good eatables and drinkables…

…'many apples, many sodas’

For countless Sundays that’s’ what was heard…

…time passes!

Some forty years later

Reading an article and to the eyes witness these words:

'Minneapolis Minnesota’

The learning curve at that moment

Got accelerated in flashback mode

To rock this individual very existence

One has to ask the basic question

Now as an adult

’What information gets lost in translation within ones’ formative years?’

And the more important question of current

When you, if now a parent

Says something to your offspring or offsprings’

Do they truly understand…

…do your own investigating

The conclusion might surprise…

…'many apples, many sodas’

If there were just such a place, for a young child to visit…

…what a place that would have been!

…reversing forward, future is history!
