As We Are All Worlds AwayA Poem by MFrano1Caacaa, the raven
crowed out, Sending its wisdom unto the world. Yet not one person stopped, not one head cocked, To listen to the words of that odd old bird. Each day they past by, lost in their world, Of cellphones and gadgets and toys. And each day it croaked out, though rarely did spout, Nonsense in its words. “Death, death!” it
called, Death to them all! Lost in their world of materialistic things. Death to the human race as we know it, All hail the new breed, of rings and diamonds and all that
fine bling. The individual is gone, deceased, So bow down and say long live society. As the woods waste away and nature is scorned, Trees are cut down and forests are burned, We’re lost in a world where it’s, “Die but be merry,” And never again will we listen to the oh-so-contrary words, Oh that strange yet wise little old bird. © 2015 MFrano1Featured Review
