The Walk

The Walk

A Poem by MDC (Missouri)

A trilogy poem.

The Walk by MDC, aka Missouri.

Walk I

The saint with a past

The sinner with a future

Is not the past before us?

One sees where one has been

Is not the future behind us?

One sees not where one goes

Tread carefully, I upon life's path

Knowing nothing but Him

Walk II

Least sinner turned saint, I stumble.

Reverting, spinning out of control

Denying the truth, losing the way

Forgetting the Master of my soul

This transient life too short

To waste upon the mundane

Awakened to staying in the now

The time of life is in the present

Walk III

Marveling upon new found freedom

Embracing this sweet liberty of mercy

Giving Him who gave me breath

My new life in return for His

Enthralled, embracing mysteries,

Sitting on the throne with Him

The Holy Spirit guiding me

Time no longer my own

MDC (Missouri),

His presence throughout this piece is obvious… your walk(s) with our Saviour sincere.

Journeying along – our treadmill set to random…? is it truly our life that we live? Could the pathways to which we find ourselves, be predestined purpose. As I have, throughout the years strayed through the walk, I nearly always find myself wrapped in His security; indeed Holy Ghost has surely cloaked us in a beautifully colored shield of guidance.

Intriguing your prospective – a trilogy of walks with you, an inside glance to privately held testimony; a testimony of strength, courage and fortitude. A trip with you though down time and past time – free flight into the present.

People come in and out of our lives, this we acknowledge as hap-hazard; is it truly? Have they something to take away from our encounter? Or do they offer something for us to pull into our lives? Identifying this is the key… One thing that shall never blur our vision is one simple fact – we are all brothers and sisters, as we are all Children of Him.

The projected trail for you may not be clear cut – however, your destiny is; this too is obvious. I can say all these things in the name of His Son Jesus Christ – AMEN.

Thoughts:
I can clearly see religious aspects to this work, which I like. In Walk I, I really like the 2nd & 3rd stanzas about the past and future. The past is before us and the future is behind us. It's a pelicular way of looking the concept of past and future. It's good, there wasn't anything I could see that needs fixing. I can tell you put a lot into this and maybe even multiple reworkings of it.
