The WalkA Poem by MDC (Missouri)A trilogy poem. The Walk by MDC, aka Missouri.
Walk I
The saint with a past The sinner with a future
Is not the past before us? One sees where one has been
Is not the future behind us? One sees not where one goes
Tread carefully, I upon life's path Knowing nothing but Him
Walk II
Least sinner turned saint, I stumble. Reverting, spinning out of control
Denying the truth, losing the way Forgetting the Master of my soul
This transient life too short To waste upon the mundane
Awakened to staying in the now The time of life is in the present
Walk III
Marveling upon new found freedom Embracing this sweet liberty of mercy
Giving Him who gave me breath My new life in return for His
Enthralled, embracing mysteries, Sitting on the throne with Him
The Holy Spirit guiding me Time no longer my own © 2011 MDC (Missouri)Author's Note
