Ay, my heart pain is forever throbbing’

Though healing has come every so often

Will my bless-ed heart ever be true

For though jubilation comes and goes

My heart still feels pain from your blows.

The realness of this sucked me right in. I could EASILY place myself, looking from the outside in, to a situation like this, with emotions flaring.
