If I told you

If I told you

A Poem by Maria Ioannou

I’ve written out your name,
in ink, a thousand times.
And in my mind, traced the
lines of your shoulders more.
With eyes closed I’ve wished you
close, your mouth all mine.
If I told you, this, or another
moment’s musing,
would you see that if I could choose
again, I would.
