Chapter 13A Chapter by MAMattersMedium: The Origins finds a young man setting out to avenge the death of a beloved family member and to recover forgotten memories, only to find himself with a new case and a unknown assailant on him.Chapter 13
I walk
back on school grounds. Well, old school grounds now. A small greyish like
building two stories high, but it’s been plagued with dust and leaves growing
out of walls, not to mention the caution tapes around them. Looks like the
curse has killed in this school and made a name there. Maybe the time my
amnesia began was also the time when the school shut down for good. I bet no
one bother going in after that incident. Well, nobody likes school anyways. I
look around to see the changes after two years, and I find a car. There is only
one car parked on the grass behind the school. I guess nobody has found the car
yet. The school looks as though it’s been abandoned for years. I look inside
the car, and it is mostly empty. I find an old scrapbook inside his car. It has
his name written in the front. I pull the handle of his driver door and open
it. It was never locked, someone could’ve broke in and stole something if it
was discovered. I grab the scrapbook and take it with me. As I
walk around the hallway, a familiarity begins to spur within me. I do remember
coming and going here. The halls are dark, and it isn’t colourful. It’s just a
greyish area. I find my locker as the numbers come back to me. 1013 is my
locker number. I unlock my lock and open my locker, and inside I find a
yearbook. I didn’t know I had one of those. I look through my yearbook a little
bit, and I find no comments on mine. I guess it’s not that important. The
chances of finding another important comment in a yearbook are one in a
hundred. I continue to explore the hallways and walk inside the room. Although
it has helped me gain familiarity with some rooms, I recall nothing that is of
importance. That’s when I go to the gym. It was a mess. Right, no one went
inside after the incident and it was during the dance. A graduation dance,
that’s what happened during the incident. I sit
down, and take out Wallace’s scrapbook. As I flip through the pages, I become
horrified upon discovering that Wallace was covering me from the curse ever
since our mom and dad died at the hands of veined eyes. We then lived under an
ancient looking lady’s roof. Could that be the exorcist? Sometime later, the
police came and took us away from the old lady and into an orphanage. We’ve
been adopted, and ever since kept an eye on me to keep me alive from the curse.
Wallace would always tell me to keep a cross near me at all times. He knew it
was coming for me, and I was being protected from the curse up until my
amnesia. I begin to think once I
was finished reading Wallace’s scrapbook. Why didn’t I see this before? The
dream I had of the house, the family, and the little kid who saw the curse.
That wasn’t just a dream, it was a message from the past. Marlene was the
pregnant woman, Max was the man, and Wallace was the child. That means that the
unborn child was me. Somewhere in the dream, the kid drew a picture of his
family which included a baby that was unborn at the time. One of the pages on
his scrapbook was missing so that could’ve been the drawing. During that time,
he saw veined eyes appear and disappeared when his parents arrived. Marlene was
alive when this happened, that means she never was the ghost. The house became
haunted long before her incident, so she was just the victim all along. When
Max was testing out his invention, Marlene was wearing the helmet, his
invention malfunctioned, and it electrocuted her. She was then taken to the
hospital, but while all of the excessive electrons were taken out of her body,
some has passed on to me, her unborn child. During that time I was born into
this world, but I wasn’t fully developed, which explains my short stature. Not
only was she electrocuted, the invention was made from the electric chair which
was a possessed item of veined eyes’ curse. Marlene had made contact with the
invention, which means the electrons from the invention were possessed as well.
It was passed down to me, and thus I became a cursed relic of the house. That
is the reason why everywhere I go it follows me. I was doomed the day I set
foot into this world. Everywhere I go, death strike at those that are closest
to me, including myself. I’m a danger to myself and everyone around me. If Marlene wasn’t the
ghost, then who was it? If I could recall the video I saw at the house, Leslie
said to that cameraman friend that she wanted to make Scott pay and all they
would have to do is bring him to the chair. Was she talking about an electric
chair? Could Leslie and Scott be the ghosts that’s been on my tail from the
very beginning? I close the book, and
took out my yearbook. As I start reading the yearbook, I begin to have a flashback
of my past, which may be the last piece of my forgotten history. © 2015 MAMattersAuthor's Note
