Reluctant WarriorA Poem by Warrior SpiritI don’t want to fight. Yet life…life doesn’t stop coming. It doesn’t give up. Life is relentless With only brief, sporadic moments Of rest. I don’t want to fight. Yet with every step I take, it seems I must raise my sword… I must raise my hands… I must face some adversary Some force must be conquered. And I… And I Evidently am the one called upon To do it. I was made for this Built to last. I struggle not to fight Yet my head is filled with violence. My anger is quick and vicious My wrath is terrible to behold. It is not something I am proud of Not something I even wanted. Yet Life, once again Decided for me this fate. So I fight with what I have to. I win. And I lose. But I always represent. You will not conquer me easily… Even if I fight reluctantly.
