The Third Door

The Third Door

A Poem by J.
"

Everyone I've read this to seems to interpret it differently, so have at it.

"
You will see only what you will understand
Through faith and fire you would make your stand
Lifetimes spent searching, yearning for sights unseen
You all became sightless visionaries with hands unclean

Beat now louder the drums of ignorance
Fill the air with that darkly sweet fragrance
The third door opens now to massive hushed applause
But our blood is just water when spilled without cause

Casteless, causeless, duty ignored but honor-bound
Have naught wisdom heard but only violence found
Eating our own tails endlessly we spin in a mad god's twirl
Swimming in the depths of long-forgotten and dead worlds

Sing now the hymns of the blind
Fill our hearts with ash and words unkind
The third door opens in and ushers you all inside
And those who go cannot remember how they died

death has no memory only words
eat us now
take from this plate

all that has come and went
sing your
song

let not the river freeze

for death is no flower......................
