Yes

Yes

A Poem by blueeyedangel

Night curled around them like a warning siren

Both staring into each other's eyes

getting lost in oblivion

everything she tried to hold on to falls apart

she stood her ground

to have it crumble beneath her

and so she fell

right into the awaiting arms of the one she loves

her sanity is slowly ebbing away

As he leads her from it

Rain falls down heeding a silent warning

Pelting down on the unsuspecting victims

who ignore it

He kneels down, one knee firmly planted on the ground

the only promise of the real world

The jewl sparkles, despite the moonless sky

With a shaky gasp, she falls right next to him

With a muttered word

"Yes."

Really short, but really powerful. The abilty to capture so much in so little is amazing to me. I could see the scene unfolding in my mind. This felt like a Zales commercial or something. Great piece!!!
