chosen.

chosen.

A Poem by dread or dismay.

CHOSEN-

run,

sway.

how far can you run without falling.

how far can you hide,

without lying.

flawing the truth's beauty.

when you wake up the next day,

will your eyes be wet with tear?

will you be surronded with fear?

fear for the lost?
the chosen?

my dear;

wipe your tear.

this is the path you've chosen.

have we only one choice in life?

one desision?

screw you, get out of here.

is that what life has been made up of?

that if you mess up once,

your frozen?

let me get this straight,

dear,

only one try,

then your out?

i better make this good,

then.

because with one boot,

you were the one that was chosen.

Author's Note

dread or dismay.
i am back, everyone! ;)
well.
this was a short peice,
and i'm sorry if it's slightly confusing.
it's about death.
how if you make one false move, you get the "boot".

I'm getting double lessons, and meanings from this poem.
1) Death 2) Decisions we make in life.
That's a fine quality to have in a poem; being able to take multiple meanings from a poem. Yours has just that! I'm glad I read "chosen." It gave me a moral lesson, to be honest.

The lesson I learned was that once you make a decision, you can't reserve time to fix it. That you have only one shot at life. One shot and one path we have to chose of so many.

I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking.. Did you write this out of the blue, or from personal experience?
