A. (long-drawn thoughts)

A Poem by M.D
"

how hard is it to control the feelings... I always took pride in being in control of myself and thoughts. Sometimes however...

"

Sleepless city stews fires towards the morn

When heat from the streets comes only from hands

Lazy smoke lifts to the ceiling higher and higher

He very desires to her's voice admire

Wherever has he been, her wouldn't he forget

He keeps in mind every instant heard he "yes"

In springtime blooms her smile

he sees it each time, but realizes and sighs

It's time to end this long pause

Selecting for the pattern new puzzles

Whatever happened long ago, it's time to pardon

No matter who first, love knows no pride

to hear her prowling about the house.

Such beauty and great description in this poem. Each line was strong allowing the reader to fall into the poem. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Sometimes well drawn out thoughts make for some of the very best of poems and stories. ^^* This one was excellent.
