Confusion

Confusion

A Poem by M. J. C. Mata
"

It's what I saw before I woke up, screaming, cold sweat soaking my whole body. This sense of helplessness, loneliness, and terror. I wish not to see it again.

"

Swirling, twirling, spinning tide,

I knew I can never hide.

Falling, sinking, dying light,

I'm losing all in my sight.

I stand alone in this hopeless world.

My mind like dying leaves – curled.

Merely a thought or so makes me burst.

This condition of mine is getting worst.

Seeing things that aren't there,

My mind seems to bring me where

Realities fall and madness reign.

Hearing words that makes me insane.

Where shall I stay, where shall I go?

Everything I see's a deceiving show.

Am I as hopeless as I'm confused

I am helpless as my mind they used.

I want to scream a scream of fright:

“I am in a dream where nothing's right!”

From the bounds of reason I've broken free.

And now have fallen to sheer insanity.

Wow! This is like a modern vesion of one of Poe's poems. I like the topic--insanity.

Am I in a dream where nothings right?

it's surreal! i remember Salvador Dali's paintings.
