Maybe

This is a poem I wrote when I was thinking of what the future might be.

Maybe...someday we'll all be gone.

Maybe...someday there will be a new generation.

Maybe...no one will remember us. Or the people before us.

Maybe...there will be war between every person. 

Maybe...there will be fighting in every individual's heart.

Maybe...we'll be nothing but wimps to them.

Maybe...we'll just be a number in the past.

Maybe...they won't even know what the sky looks like.

Maybe...there will be things we wish we had...but were too unfortunate to get them.

Maybe...they will only think about themselves and not about the feelings of others.

Maybe...this document will never be seen again.

Maybe...we'll be nothing. 

Nothing.

Simply nothing.

This was really...depressing I guess? I emailed this to one of my friends and she said that it was creepy. I guess that's what I was going for. Things are falling in this world. And no one can save it. But if there was someone...somewhere...that could? I applaud them.
