PROLOGUE

My name is Leora Singer. I am fourteen years old. This is my poor self portrait <photo>. You might think I am a typical kid, but any of my close friends would tell you otherwise. I will tell you some things though; like how my hair really is that shade of red, not just the color of the pencil I used, and I did NOT dye it. My ears are also pointed. 

You see, I am a changeling, an elven replacement for a human child, and I am not alone.
