You Are What I am Not

You Are What I am Not

A Poem by Lysta

You are,
everything I am not.

You are the kindness,
that was not found in my life.

Your smiles,
are something completely new.

You are the spice,
in the long-dragged on story of my existence.

You,
make things different, and fun.

Your perfection,
shines in the desolate place of failure, where I am.

You are,
the good half of me.

You are,
the one who makes me feel complete.

First poem with a lovey-dovey feel... Made the picture in Photoshop, but couldn't find any good pictures to photoshop together...

-Thanks, Lysta

We often idolise or idealise a person when we adopt 'black and white' thinking and we lose sight of the greys and the fact that they too are human. This places pressures on them and on relationships with them but still when we find someone who completes us we are loathe to let them go. The phrase 'you complete me must the most loaded compliment we can pay to a loved one'.
Thought provoking writing Lysta. Well penned.
