How It Ends

How It Ends

A Poem by Ms. Starr
"

breakupssssssss. ugh.

"
Don't still my broken heart
Until my tears have stopped
And when my cheeks have dried
Please count the times I've tried
To forgive the hurt you've caused
And the sanity I've lost
While sometimes I still pray
That one day you will say
The words that haunt my dreams
From whispers to screams
The words that come so near
To vanquishing my fears
Of losing all of you
With my hopes so very few
I can only wish, so silently
Through the shudders, so violently,
That my faltering pulse could be
The way you say you love me
'Forever and for now'
Nothing but a broken vow.

Your use of cadence and rhyme makes for an enjoyable read-- and the emotional content of the write works well.
Nice job!

About
I enjoy writing. I don't do it enough. I'm unmotivated, uninspired, and have learned that unless you are deemed important or special enough for modern society, your words will generally go unheard. I'.. more..
