Drop Out

Drop Out

A Chapter by Ms. Starr

just the new definition of dropping out of our 'schools'

Dropping out.
Letting go of all we've been taught to embrace, hold close, to cherish. The closer we keep it, the easier it is to eat into our flesh, through our bones, and taint our souls.
(Our hearts have already rotted. Why would it eat that?)
Our average education has gone from a privilege to something that is required by law.
Resented. As it should be.
Simple ABC's. Just a few years letter, turning letters into numbers. We would have gotten scolded for doing that in first grade.
Dropping out is waking up, becoming free, and being completely screwed.

An interesting topic, and an interesting way to look at it. You always look at things in an interesting, unique way.
When I started reading this, it dawned on me this was the last "chapter" or "installment" of this, if I can even call it that. You write really well, and I'm hoping to read more of whatever you write in the future.

About
I enjoy writing. I don't do it enough. I'm unmotivated, uninspired, and have learned that unless you are deemed important or special enough for modern society, your words will generally go unheard. I'.. more..

Writing
