anticipationA Poem by Ms. Starr
i'm looking forward to kissing you.
i can hardly wait to learn the trace of your jaw, of your lips and the curve of your hair against the warm skin of your neck oh, i'm anticipating the touch of your fingertips along my hips. i'm pale of affection and i ache for the heat of your body. i want to bask in the charismatic radiation pulsing from your eyes, i burn with the temptation to delve into the chill of your heart, i'm prepared for you to steal my breath and hold me under till i find the warmth bubbling deep beneath the caving bridge of your spine, a bridge i'll lightly tap my finger across and drop stones, trying to grasp just how far i'll have to fall, determine just how long i have to jump before you collapse under the weight of my expectations, the fire of my curiosity and float away down the rapid river of yourself. you're unfamiliar territory but i've been studying your landscape for years, my dear. i'm at the foot of our inclination, and all i can think is how close i am to the point of no return.
