questions in his mind

questions in his mind

A Poem by Lyrical Love

I lay here thinking of your questions, and thoughts
how could You not know of what...
would it be like
for me looking at flowers on the streets of New York
at the one of many open store fronts
crowded in enjoyment
sipping my favorite morning java
being carried away in steamy thoughts of you
Waiting, my love for you to find me
openly...
Destined for promise
you Walking with the crowd
but the nearing
of my presence slows your pace
questioning... the energy that turns and moves you with a
feeling-seen in your eyes, knowing that you will soon see my face
only being lead by a dream that holds my spirit
you are lead off course to touch
Running toward the unknown, but welcoming warmth
...solace,
that confuses your mind
like a gust of wind from out of nowhere
she has to be here
you have daydreamed the fragrance from my neck
after gently pushing my hair aside
Yes, you smell me in my mind
intensity of happenstance
lets you know
It's me
wearing that hat...almost not breathing anymore,
making everything a blur, you
run and put your arms
around my waist without ever seeing my face
and taste my neck with a kiss...I know it is you because
our hearts begin to beat rhythmically,
and like a great crescendo... start to pound like kettle drums

One second feels like a life time, with you.
Kissing, and crying with an ocean floor of anticipation.
Hugs meshing souls with all

questions...
finally answered.

Amazing!, Beautifully written and expressed in a manner of fine taste,
I should not say this here...lol
My favorite part of a woman is her neck...lol

you have daydreamed the fragrance from my neck
after gently pushing my hair aside
Yes, you smell me in my mind
intensity of happenstance
lets you know
It's me

This knocked me out of my chair.

Thank you for writing and sharing such a wonderful poem.

Incredible! Very descriptive and visually passionate. I wish I had your dictionary of adjectives! Very passionate and innocently lustful.

Flytactular! I'll be reading more of your stuff soon. And I wished you haddent(yeah I said "haddent") read the poem that you read of mine first! It gives the wrong impression of me! Talk to you soon....

Amazing piece, LL. I'm happy I came across this. You have a knack for being able to transport the reader into another place and time in order to witness the actions that develop within your poems. The emotion within is explosive. Nice work as usual.

This was great because time and place are irrelevant. The emotion is the focus of the poem, and its shift in tense, location, and sometimes even pronoun is true to how we think and feel and fantasize (non-linear, I mean).

I also think there's a musical quality here; I think with a slight change in format you could easily change this into a song.

Okay let me get my thoughts right.........................................

What a wonderful thing it is to be able to melt emotions onto paper and give sensations without anything but words. You are an amazing writer. I felt every word and was almost saddened to see it end. It is a great piece. I applaud you over and again.

The anticipation that I feel coming off this poem is amazing.
Something so normal is intensified by the longing for the one you belong with
I'm loving this right now because it has a mature feeling to it like Marvin said.
No ten year old with a little crush wrote this but a woman sure of herself
and what she wants. Awesome love the emotion!

You know something is good, if while your reading it you can feel it in your gut in your soul. And this did just that.

WOW......CAN I CATCH MY BREATH PLEASE? one of the best poems I have read today. at least one that has moved me the most.

our hearts begin to beat rhythmically, and like a great crescendo... start to pound like kettle drums
(EXCELLENT LINE. AND DESCRIPTION AND METAPHOR)

One second feels like a life time, with you. (i agree with you on this. you made memories float through my mind of this guy i really liked, wondering if he thought of me, fantasized etc about me. when i was with him every second felt like soemthing amazing. each word i lingered on in anticipation, hungering after his desire and needing him so badly. not necessarily on sexual either.)

i feel this poem was written in such class, and romance, and well....another great piece by you once again. you never fail to deliver.
