A cracked image I mirrored to you

I wish that you could have been her first kiss

An object for her affection and total bliss

The matrimonial experience untold

You donning the tuxedo

on top of mountain of cake, you I would see

Graciously awaiting her, your bride to be

Talitha cumi interpreted as Damsel arise

In His eye’s you are still the greatest prize

The blood cleanses you so,

                             You are white as snow      

So perfect you appear

One of the few things that is always true is we all have cracked images of ourselves and others.
I think you put it down well, the way expectations get in the way of what should and not what could.

An interesting write...there is almost a duality here, between what we "see" and what we "know". I like the flow, which lends to the emotionally charged feeling that I got at the end of reading this. Great rythem, great tone, and nice rhyme pattern. Bravo!
