Barely heard

Barely heard

A Poem by Lyrical Love
"

We...hear what we want to hear.

"

                A silent little cry
Barely heard in the distance
Of life for the busy man
The hustle and bustle, are steady
Like a song…
The lack of compassion for others
~is wrong
Quiet the sounds of greed, anger, and contention
Feel the hunger, and lack
Of the little ones not mentioned
…living on the streets, with a sister, and strife
                                And no Mother…
Or Father to make a life…
…for the silent little cry,
                Barely heard in the distance.

I have a soft place in my heart for this subject. I love how you describe their voice
and the attention we as a whole society show them as
"A silent little cry barely heard in the distance"
I feel like that's dead true!

Quiet the sounds of greed, anger, and contention
Feel the hunger, and lack of the little ones not mentioned"

These lines were beautiful and well put inside this piece.
You captured the mood and the emotion of this matter perfectly!

Darling you are certainly right... we turn a blind eye and deaf ear to the things that do not effect us, thinking we can't help but if everyone listened a little then the world wouldn't be deaf to humanity... such a powerful poem that point out what is wrong with society.

I really hate how true this peice is. I wish that somethings
in the world would dissappear and what you've written here was
fiction, but it's soooo true. I love the style of this poem it's broken just
like the lives of the people you potray here. This is awesome you have
captured their hurt perfectly

this was good. the meter flowed really well too. What you say is true, we are too intuned to the nonesense of our lives and we don't notice the things that matter. Whether its the homeless, the sick or old. Or, other things like, morals and values, faith or someone we love. Good work!
