Whoa!!! Very powerfully spoken! This speaks volumes to what I'm sure tons of people (married, involved), I'm sure feel at one point in their respective relationships. I'm sure you're gonna get a sermon from someone saying "It's about finding the passion with the one you're with, blah, blah, blah...." But I see and respect the moment of expression that you've written here without analyzing the solution. Short, but strong and telling. I think people will feel this. I know I did! Is that why I'm single? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
An interesting work in the manner in which the work leaves one to think about the end of love instead of the beginning of love. So many pieces touch upon getting everything together to get everything started, and to be honest - I am not sure why they bother. If everything is not together to get started, it is telling you something. No, it is when they have been together and then they have that disconnect; where we start to see the potential tragedy of love. You capture the blunt concept of here and there with a certain elegance, taking it beyond the simple here and there - but not burying us in so many details that we cannot personalize this for ourselves. Yes, so many times in love - as love begins to wane - instead of taking the moment to work on the here - people will go off seeking the there...
An interesting concept and short like a haiku
"Is it real how you smile at me
and I frown at you"
It seems to reflect wither a long distance relationship or an unreal one.
You leave me wondering what the real inspiration is
nicely written. =] i had to read it a couple of times because i felt this connection that i think many readers would understand. this is a good piece. i'm going to share it with my friend.
here or there...
....*my long distant relationship lol*
so i looked at it differently than others.
to me it was like....
can i love you here
......when your way over there..
At least it was like that until the word creeping came into the mix. Then i saw it how others saw it. I love your style.
