I'd like to sayA Poem by Lyric
I like to say I'm brave
And I like to say I don't care I like to say that it's not my emotions And that it's life that's not fair I like to pretend that I'm a tigress, When really, I'm still a little girl in her room, braiding her hair Wondering why life's short Playing tortuous and hare Wanting to move so fast Wanting to not be there I still want to run by so silently That when people stop and stare All they'll see Is the wind wiping past and a wisp of my hair Because I like to say that I'm not afraid of anything And I wish I could take care of my problems and hold them in embrace Hear no intimidation See no intimidation But that's just not the case Take all evil Look it in the eye Hug it And then wrap it in lace I want to be able to handle everything the world brings I wish I were the one Who when everyone cries, stands up and sings But I'm not, I never got the memo on how to be perfect I guess I forgot It's not worth it Better a imperfect human than a cold hearted robot © 2015 Lyric |
