DivorceA Poem by LyricTo my parents
Please, I can not take this anymore,
My heart is breaking, and my mind is sore, And I plead, and i beg as I cry on the floor as I watch you scream at one another through this crack in the door, The love you once had, If you ever had any, is no longer pure. Why can't you see when I see so clearly? You are going to grow old fast, and unhappily, Your hearts have torn apart, Listen to your daughter, It's time for a new start. A new day, This moment in time is so long and tart, And I wish it away for you with all my heart, Don't say you do it for us, We have no part, To my mother and father, I could not say this out loud, But I mold my speech into this piece of art, You have dragged this on and it is no more than a habit, Of how long you can go, Before your excuses have gone, Please, be happy, Do not hold on, To something invisible, To something already long gone. © 2015 LyricAuthor's Note
