I don't know why

I am not going through anything like this right now, random light bulb went of in my head and I wrote, and I got this. How? I have no idea. But this is my product.

First we started out slow,

simplicity our goal,

then we went a little faster,

then spun out of control,

I wont say things i'll regret,

cause the truth is I don't really know,

Who knows?

There's might be a dozen other souls,

out there waiting for me,

Wont say that I need you,

cause we're young and we deserve to be free.

well,

the truth is I don't know why I thought I was in love with you,

and by the look on you face guess you were thinking that too,

And no, i'm not mad at you,

nothing good ever comes from hiding the truth,

for then,

we were both young and dumb,

and we never knew,

that we simply bit off more than we could chew,

We'll just handle it,

and that's really all we can do,

we'll have to let the world teach us how to live,

see how much more of this we can give,

If it'll work,

I don't know,

nothing but fifty fifty but I wont go,

I'll stick to our plan,

I don't know why,

but what use was this time if I don't try?

Hello :) I love this, but I love most of your writing so that doesn't surprise me. It seems to have a pure quality as it elicits a picture of a girl, mature but young, still learning but open to her experiences. You have a great way of capturing subtle emotions. There were just a couple of typos I thought I'd point out:
this line "but what use was this time if don't try?" I think it's missing an I or something like that between if and don't, and then in both case of "bit off more than we could chew" you just have one f instead of two. Simple fixes, and really great job on the poem.
