wave

wave

A Poem by "L" alone

The land locked search for freedom

Muddy feet entrenched on ancient earth

Which binds their souls

Air and earth combine,

holding tight

Eyes light at waters edge

Deep, abiding in it's beauty

She calls inviting her warm caress

Drawing you far from shore

She speaks to those who listen

Surf the waves white with foam

Ride her mighty waters, taste salt on parched lips

Wash away mud and earth,

free your soul
