Today….

I sang alone

At the top of my voice

Only slightly out of tune

To no one

 

Today….

I danced on the beach

Barefoot at sunset

Liberated and free

With joy

 

Today….

I read my poetry aloud

Tears spilling

Upon my wet cheeks

Unabashed

 

Today…

I looked deeply

Into my own blue eyes

And my soul was

Revealed

 

Today…

I knew

Despite war, pain, sorrow

In spite of what the world expects

I am enough

This is a real nice "positive look" piece you've written there. Sure there are so many problems that just never end and something news always had to come up at the last minutes just like that. Somehow, we all just need a simple break, just for a moment, in order to regain our "positive energies" to move on...
