Under Pressure

Under Pressure

A Poem by Lyndsay Castro
"

A different kind of pressure

"

So hard to push this pain away

It swells in waves too hard to bear

My effort and my nerves are frayed

I long for when I had no cares

But now I'm under pressure, pain

My hands shake and sweat and try

To forget the time when I had gained

And never lost, the time I could fly

The sun shines through my window, bright

Yet my souls migraine turns away

Why can't I shrug off my small plight?

I can't ignore this pain today
