Forever and Three Days Ago

forever and three days ago
the stars fell from the sky
and fell into the oceans waves
where they hoped to hide.
water then fell from the clouds
crying for the stars
calling for each constellation
hoping they weren't too far.

forever and three days ago
the stars just ran away
and fell right into they ocean
where the sky could have no say.
the stars, they are, forever gone
never to return
the sky will have to live alone
and maybe it will learn

at night you can look to the sky
and see the stars' reflection
admire them for all they are
show them only affection
of course they're not up there
as the story goes
the stars jumped in the ocean
forever and three days ago.
