A Poem by Lyn Cree

the sun shines on your face ; and i notice the exact color of brown in your eyes.
i get lost within them ; and i see through your front ; through your little white lies.
i can stand here forever with you and your eyes ; and never go away
the sun shines down on you ; and i've lost the words to say.
the world takes you for granted ; and i only wish they could see
i wish they could see the happiness in your eyes ; as you're here with me
the world could disappear ; and leave me here with you
i can lay here in your eyes forever ; there's nothing else i'd rather do
love, you make me smile ; standing there in the sun
i pray you'll hold my hand ; and make a plan to run
i notice the exact color brown in your eyes ; amber mixed with honey
no one else sees the way your eyes shine ; the way i do when you look at me
this is something written for you ; in hopes that you will smile
the way that i do ; when you and i get lost for a while.
so stand in the sun with me ; let the whole world disappear
no one ; and nothing else matters ; now that you're here with me.

So much love in this poem- amazzzing! I know those feelings, and you wrote them as well as they could've been written! Only thing is the font is a bit small :). Thanks for sharing!
