Come with me

Come with me

A Poem by LylaCrystal

Lord, I know I make many promises
That I often fail to keep.
I know that You helped me all my life
And took care of me.

You know my future
And tell me it will be alright.
I can't see You, but I feel You
Through everything around me.

Through the nature that dies and revives.
Through the people You send to me.
Through everything I live.
Through who I am.

I am a human,
Caught in the vortex of life,
Surrounded by dangers,
Trying to resist.

I am a human.
You created us from love
And we shall love each other
Like You did.

I know I try in vain
To hide from myself,
But You know the depths
Of our souls.

You know the hopes and dreams,
The pain and struggles,
The countless efforts.
You know we are humans.

We are fighting every day.
We are tired, we look for our path.
We are lost, we cannot continue,
But we don't give up.

We fall and get hurt,
But I feel a hand that lifts us.
I can't see You,
But I know You are with us.

I am a human.
Wounded and fordone.
Send me where you think, Lord,
But please: come with me.

Yes, we are frail, but it is that very frailty that assures his benevolence.

No-one, if they look inside their heart, can even contemplate for a moment that this beautiful gift of a planet is no more than a consequence of cosmological action. Scientists talk about the so-called 'Big Bang,' where supposedly all of the space, time, matter, and energy in the universe was created. Really? then if so, what was before; and what lies beyond our current and very limited understanding? Once there are answers to those questions, then just maybe I might retreat a little from my unshakable belief that it was a higher hand at work; but in truth, I don't for one moment believe this will ever come about.

Beccy.

I liked whole poem..But I disagree with just one point in it, the one who decides our future is not god but its us , its our deeds that decide our future..Rest of the poem was nice..Your words were powerful and the wayyou expressed yourself is worth appreciating..

Your welcome
Think you summed up, we're human.
Frailty is our byword.
But we try.
Well, I don't, religion always baffled me.
