Bad thoughts, bad words

Bad thoughts, bad words

A Poem by Lykos
"

Words cut deeper than any blade.

"
At times my mouth becomes so vicious,
Because of it, I've burnt most of my bridges.
I've come to a point where there's no turning back,
Each passing year, lesser and lesser grows my pack.

Sober or drunk, I'm Jekyll and Hyde,
Both an angel and a demon deep inside.
While drunk the demon takes hold,
And with my words, my world unfolds.

It spits venom and breaks people's souls,
To have me all alone is one of its goals.
To far I've come and to old I've grown,
Too many mistakes made and tonnes of friendships blown.

To late was I when I learned control,
Now halfway to the end with a shattered soul.
Flow through my mind the faults in my past,
Forever lingering on what I've lost, which I had hoped would forever last.

Many times we don’t think of what our words will do. They can do great damage if we aren’t careful of what we say when we are angry, hurt, or frustrated.

This poems sums up how words can cause pain and hurt.

Exactly my thoughts. Some words spoken aloud can never be taken back and at times, never forgiven.read more
