Fly high

Fly high

A Poem by Lykos

Look, you can forget about this town,
You'll have no life, only dragged continuously down.
Listen, stay here and you'll never strike gold,
Only stay poor, till you're grey and you're old.

Even if you fail, you have to continue to try,
Put on those wings, and fly till you're up in that sky.
Fly up high among the birds and bees,
Up higher and higher up over the trees.

Home now far back in the distance, it gives you a fright,
But don't let it scare you, what you're doing is right.
Don't lose that happy thought in your mind,
Without it, you may never know what you're meant to find.

So far you've gone, so far you've flown,
And you still go deeper into the unknown.
You still keep an eye on that horizon,
And with every second of the sunrise, your path it does brighten.
