DemonsA Poem by LykosLiquid disaster
Our hearts are like little monsters
Inside us like permanent squatters That's why our ribs are cages Holding back the internal rages You can't drown out the demons There are so many reasons One is they know how to swim Leaping out at every whim Help doesn't sit at the bottom of a bottle Just a person that is cruel and awful Quick to violence when he gets mad Changing straight from good to bad You keep flooring back the pint Even though you know it's not right Its clear to you the outcome that follows Back here tomorrow to drown your sorrows. © 2017 LykosReviews
