Words are words

Words are words

A Poem by Lykos

Don't judge me by what I write
The words don't describe my plight
There just words etched on a page
Like an actor acting on a stage

You read, but don't know me
Of me you see, only a small degree
Different emotions flood my mind
Waiting to be designed and combined

All I need is one to rise and peak
Words will make this emotion speak
By the echoes of voice and opening of lips
To life, real becomes my scripts

To me you may feel a strong connection
But in truth this is a misconception
it isn't to me, it's to the words
On this we need to be concurred

The words don't make me that person
Don't let that be your assertion
The real me isn't the what you read
My intention was never to mislead

Close my eyes and words appear
I then write what I see and hear
Naturally out of me sentences flow
On paper the world emotions i show.
