Her

Her

A Poem by Lykos
"

People change and what we liked about them sometimes disappears.

"
First you were a stranger,
A friend of a friend.
Shy hellos and Awkward glances,
You'd blush when our eyes made contact.

Then you became my friend,
Small talk and laughs.
Isn't this always the way,
Texts and tweets throughout the day.

Feelings grew and grew,
Like air into a balloon.
Talking from sunrise,
Till sunset.

We grew together,
Bonding more each day.
Just living in the moment,
Enjoying every second.

But as always with pressure,
Something gave and we popped.
You left and disappeared,
To where I didn't know.

You returned after an eternity away,
When we met you had changed.
I couldn't see the her in you,
The old had been overtaken by the new.

I have been there. And I wish I didn't it hurt a lot.

I think many of us have been on this situation. Thanks for the review.

your welcome
This is a really sad poem in how they broke away from each other and then she was different, no longer the person they had been happy with. I really enjoyed seeing the story from the moment they meet until they meet again after awhile. Great poem.
