The river

The river

A Poem by Lykos

They have many names
But they are all the same
They are all connected
And their power should be respected

Even though they can be isolated
They are never affected
They love to push
always in a rush.

Pushing themselves to the limit
But never losing their spirit
Foolish ones try to block their path
And invoke their wrath

The pressure builds, they explode
It can be frightening to behold
Eventually returning to normal
Caging the wild animal.

They return to their rightful lane
Here for a while they will remain
