the edge of good

the edge of good

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

I took this photo while walking on the deck of a cruise ship at night. The moon was full and the ocean was lapping at the hull of the ship.

"

suddenly swaddled in moonlight
i felt like a brave star shining through all anxieties
the glorious moon gnawed away at the darkness in my soul
damn the vicissitudes i navigate daily
the drooping dark circles under my eyes
have vanished
magically        right now        in this moment
life is teetering on the velvety edge of good

your words are stunning and well chosen for this enlightening scene, something about the moon’s ripple effect on the water calms our souls
this is a very heart warming piece….the moon seems to take care
of our”droopiness”……
Warmly, B

Absolutely! Thank you!
gorgeous photo and poem...you make the most of the cruises by navigating into a different world, a peaceful world, a utopia.
