even now

even now

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

your kisses brought the blush
back to my cheeks
my kisses tattooed your soul
your words refilled
the empty ewer inside me
through imagery and metaphor
we brought parts of us to life
parts we never really knew
yes, we were alive together
more alive than we are apart
and even now
i think of you as  my
”happily ever after”

"yes, we were alive together

As someone who has just gone through a breakup, all these romantic poems break my heart over and over again. Yet somehow they make me believe in love again. Oh, what a wonderful poem, thank you.

You are welcome Lydia of FL.
Wow! So romantic and well executed. Love truly makes the Twain alive together.
I wish all people can live happily ever after, but it takes lots of things.
An excellent poem with mood.
