my hope

my hope

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

Impressionist oil painting lady with long blonde hair 50th birthday in a field of flowers on Craiyon

my hope is wrapped in sunshine
then tied up with a shadow
my rhythm is sweeter
when dressed in a cape of hope
my footsteps are the metronome
syncopated perfectly to my inner rhythm

my patience is like a flower
blooming in the bright sunshine
today it all came together
in one perfect package

Wonderful dance of words dear Lydia.
"my patience is like a flower

in one perfect package"
I adored the above lines. I do need a warm day in Michigan. Old winter is holding on. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

A gorgeous poem wrapped in light, joy, softness, and faith. 'Hope', 'Patience' articulate their crossing without borrowing any hard or dark tone. A poetic delight! Perhaps it is my first time with your words in writerscafe. I missed a lot.

It is my pleasure
That super special moment when perhaps after many year soul seaching, ( some never get there )
at long last, harmony, tranquility and self acceptance combine and come together as inner peace infuses the soul, yes indeed, one is finally in sync with the rhythm of nature...

Inspiring write dear Lydia!

'my hope'
Lydia Shutter,
Oh I am so glad I came across this happy and joyful poem. I have needed the light as this life and world can be rather dark and brittle. This was a acknowledgement of thankfulness sought and accepted as a gift. One's own choice, my own choice.
I wish you all the best in your writing craft.

Ahh...so typically and wonderfully Lidi! (my footsteps are the metronome
syncopated perfectly to my inner rhythm) Being the musician that I am, these lines spoke to me especially. ~Sharon

Yes, your fingers dance on the piano keys and teach others too. Thanks so much, Sharon. Lydi**
The radiance and pleasure of a day like your words is what makes LIFE live, Lydi! Hope should announce itself in the way you have created it.. with a fanfare of all dancing and singing words, soaked in the best palette. Wonderful accompanying painting, too!

Very much hope life is being kind to you, my long standing and sitting friend!

Yes, that painting could be Em a million years ago!
beautiful .. we must have those days now and again or we surely will perish .. especially like the connection between her footsteps .. and perfect syncopation with her inner self .. beautiful stuff says i, Ms. Lydi .. just so sublime and at peace .. love it!
