Sing Me

Sing Me

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

Sing me the song of your heart

I will wrap it in multicolored silken threads

Introduce me to your soul

Every unique nook and cranny

I want to travel through it all

Let me be your shawl

When winter winds blow

And your shield

When the world turns evil

I come to you with poetry in hand

Meaning every written word

And even those I dare not write

So sing me the song of your heart

And allow me to sing it with you.

A romantic poet you are,
I like your mind set, when
It comes to poetry. Very

Thanks, Noronad. Lydia
Just beautiful. Sheer honesty required to share your heart and soul with someone frightens many. This poem reads like such a gentle call to another to open their hearts together .

I'm just an old romantic. Thanks a lot, Will. Lydi**
Your poetry is a feast like no other, Lydi... and yet, that said, I so often suspect there is more hidden for another time or person. As ever the visual you use as a precious lure is incredible, plus the drape of your words is delicious. No more of my seemingly 'fulsome' comments - forgive. So must refer back to my initial words, this poem is a feast, dear heart.

'I come to you with poetry in hand
Meaning every written word
And even those I dare not write#

In other words, your cup runneth over.. as it should with the right person.
