I wonder which came first, your choice of illustration or your words - they make make such a wonderful couple, each a compliment to the other, Lydi. As to your radiant words, they take me where i long to be, even though not far.. to the freedom of avast sea or ocean stretching out as a reflection of the heavens.. Such beautiful words, giving so generously yet gently. Thank you - nor only 'happy clouds'but Happiness.

Home is where the heart is and the sailor has an inbuilt affinity with the seas, that saline, salty air purging all gloom and doubt, replacing same with hope and joy just as love will do for those so blessed..
Metaphor magic my friend, image intensifying, kudos and richest blessings to you and your quite brilliant writing! 🍷

Tom, I appreciate your review so much. Thank you. Lydi**
My older brother served in the Navy for many years, as a CPO. He would come home occasionally on the weekends to mom's home cooking. This reminded me of all the men and women who have served this country, and have sacrificed so much to protect it. That in itself is enough to fill any heart. Good to see you, Lydi, and to read you again!

I did a two week boat ride for the Army. Being a sailor. Not a easy life. I liked the longing dear Lydia and the happy ending. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

It's why sailors have so much trouble walking on solid ground Lydi, because only when they are bouncing on the waves do they feel truly happy. Being in love has much the same effect, turning sidewalks into trampolines, or was that an earthquake? 😊

Would should have been wouldn't. I have fixed that now. It makes just a little more sense now. :)
