there is a place we all seek
a slumber deep and carefree
a place where there is peace
take my hand and follow me
we'll write our own survival guide
with illustrations bright and bold
it will become famous, i tell ya
a part of every modern household!
no timetables will be necessary
no dress code to worry about
we'll feast on carbs and calories
really just chill-out!
no alarm clocks will be ringing
in this place i want to go
we will send invitations
to everyone we know!
we'll float by the moon and stars
with determination strong
giggles will be our currency
we'll sing a happy song!
but all that will have to wait
until a time in another year
you will be there next to me
never doubt it dear!

I want to go too dear Lydia.
no alarm clocks will be ringing
in this place i want to go
we will send invitations
"to everyone we know!
we'll float by the moon and stars
with determination strong
giggles will be our currency
we'll sing a happy song!"
I loved the above lines. We need happy songs. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Hi Lydia, this reads like my annual 7 - 10 day vacation abroad when my life lived carefree with time never an issue, bliss.
Hope you are keeping well, enjoyed this poem :)

I hope you have many such vacations, Gee. Thanks for the review. Lydi**
I think during this rough patch of a couple years, when we cannot be together in body, we are definitely still together in mind and spirit...

That is so true, Jacob. Thank you for the review. I appreciate it. Lydi**
But for now dear Lydi, you get to dream silently, whilst imagination that day to come when the world will un-skew itself, turn itself right way up and play a gentle soundtrack of smiles when we all happily float away from bodily form, only to realise too late there was a couple of bits we were looking forward to keeping hold of 😊
There's always a catch 😊

A gorgeous poem with an open invitation to accept and be part of. Like they say:" Find your happy place "
And you say marvelously:" Let us find our happy place."
Artwork is amazing too.

Wow! So true and well said. You are welcome.
That place sounds amazing. Like Willy Wonkas chocolate factory had a baby with Disneyland who had an affair with Hawaii. I want to go there and just veg out under a palm tree. Nice little poem Lydia.

This is just so lovely, I have to eat without carbs even though they are my favorite foods. Especially chocolate.
