I try to write happy endings. Most of my stories end with sadness. I like happy endings too dear Lydia. Hello from Michigan and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Dear Lydi** there don't seem to be so many happy endings these days. Perhaps it is an age thing, but your lines transported me back in time. Maybe we raise our expectations too high? Your lines have created many pondering this morning. Happy Easter my friend. Thank you for the read and your choice of artwork. Always a treat to pay you a visit.

Happy Easter! One of the most brilliant ways I've ever seen it put, how life will do what it does, regardless of what we want or expect or pray for! Your poem shows the balance that can be the secret of life -- staying focused on the bright outcome without becoming bitter that it probably won't be as bright as we might wish! What a visual... yes, yes and yes, Lydi. Would happily sit for hours doing that. Your entire poem, each every phrase, is so uplifting, makes one think and feel full of smiles at the same time. You've created a wonderful reality using your own type of 'intricate details' but seemingly effortlessly. I like happy endings too, thank you for sharing yours.
Wishing you happy hours and memory making ones at that. Hug.

Thanks for the lovely review, Emma. Wishing you a happy Easter. Lydi**
the black and blue of life....somehow, with the juicy apple i thought of the knowledge we gain from experience which makes Happy Endings a bit elusive...
Sort of like biting into the apple in the garden of eden and then everything coming crashing down.
Life doesn't care what we want...it gives us what we get.
I really like the sardonic nature of this one, Lydi.
At least most of the time we have Happy beginnings.
