my memories

my memories

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

artwork by sabina fenn

my memories of you
are too huge
to ever be lost
and yet small enough
for me to tuck a few of them
in the pocket of my jeans
each morning
just to keep me company

Wonderful lines Lydi**. You made me think of both my Dad and my brother. So much a part of my life, no longer here, but the memories stay. There is always room in my back pocket to carry them with me. Thank you for that lovely thought on this Sunday morning.

What a sweet thing to say, Ardra. Thank you. Lydi**
I was feeling a spring morning vibe to this, barefoot in blue jeans, contemplating the day. It doesn't take much for me to feel melancholy these days, so I really loved the simplistic flow to this. Your artwork is also a treat, much enjoyed!

Jeans were created for workers, romance for lovers and memories for the left behind ones. We all have those favourite jeans to wear, favourite memories and precious romance times. You have shared a lot with the few.
