Your picture depicts the real meaning of the poem. Sitting beside the vast and lofty nature can make us forget everything... Every pain or every lowness of life. We are among this nature, just a part of it can make us forget everyday life.... This is just awesome
I love your honest unvarnished expression of wanting to connect & hoping that connection feels good in all directions. Sometimes, it seems the basics of connecting have been forgotten! Thanks for reminding us & urging us! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

This poem was short, but it conveyed the exact message it tried too. I really liked this and the picture you paired it with complimented it perfectly. Good job!
I do like park benches, seaside benches and airport benches for goodbyes. Nothing like sitting down with a good ole friend or good company even meeting a stranger that is so interesting. poem and artwork are wonderful...

Beautiful words and thoughts shared. The best days are simple. Just two people talking and enjoying life going by. Thank you dear Lydia for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Your poem and artwork are so strong and deeply moving Lydi! They capture the intensity of loneliness and sense of isolation so many of us are feeling now. Longing for the human touch, the feeling of connection, a hand reaching out... Beautifully worded and well-penned. I felt this in my soul. Thank you for this poetic reach-out and I reach back in friendship.

love the pic and sentiment .. captures a lot .. that invitation to just come and sit .. just be ... together in a place of quiet peace and courage ... and i do mean courage .. that's what it takes to remain quiet through our uncomfortable insecurities ... but your protagonist is speaking to someone who has already worked all that out ... you do have a knack for creating a lot in few lines .. straight forward language .. no tricks needed ;)

Oh this poem speaks volumes in its short space. And wanting to be one of the good things in another's life...
we all can wish that, but not of all of us achieve it.
The picture is interesting....makes me want to tap her on the shoulder and have a chat.
and I relate to this poem in a different way also...the woman on the bench being my mother up in heaven...and I get a chance to visit with her one more time...today, on her birthday.
thank you for this poem, Lydi.
