pondering

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

just sitting here wondering about "stuff"

artwork by sandi may baker

things to ponder
on this poetry break day
imagine a day set aside just for words words have a memory they remember how you felt when you wrote them but i wonder do they judge us? or are they just a frozen dot in time a Kodak moment to remind us of what once was or what we hoped would be? and finally i ruminate if the body is a lever does that mean i am teetering or tottering on my comfortable easy spirit shoes
when i ponder all this.... and does it matter at all?

I don't thing they judge us, they just remind us. And I feel they are glad to exist with our help.

Love the poem, a poet's poem. And I also love the picture...in its simplicity, it says so much...
the quill waiting for the touch...the poet waiting for the idea.
I think we are both teetering trying to avoid tottering.

I like to think of words as being a Kodak moment. A snapshot in time, describing our emotions, our thoughts at any given moment. Not there to judge us. Poets do ponder don:t they Lydi**? Every time I pick my pen up I find myself pondering. My muse makes me think for myself these days. Her generosity has gone :) Hope you are well and keeping safe. A poem for poets. Love your posted image too.
