The most romantic mood is tingling my extremities now that my eyes have rippled over such beauties as: "insinuation of music" . . . "phantasmagoria" . . . "dust dancing thru the sunlight" . . . and then the last 2 lines which are a monument of love & appreciation. I'm happy you're with someone that makes you feel so fulfilled, so I know you'll have a warm sparkling Christmas! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I really like these lines: 'while a sort of phantasmagoria
plays before my eyes
like dust dancing through the sunlight
but it is night
the sound of my own breathing
hypnotizes me
till i tumble into a dream'
Great use of words and metaphor.
Nice work. :)

Thank you very much, Danny. I appreciate your review. Lydi**
I liked this. It took a couple reads because there wasn't any punctuation or capitalization, but that may just be me. Plus reading it more than once helped me understand the meaning a bit better, I think. It was a good poem, short and sweet. Good job!

Lydi, whenever I read you, I always feel your words, every phrase penetrates my consciousness. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that we've been reading each other for years, or maybe it's simply because as a writer, they just don't come any better, than you! Happy New Year!

Has the sound of one entering that twilight area between sleep and wakefulness at first, until the last four lines tell us another type of fantasy has been unfolding. Some things are not easily forgotten, even in our dreams.

As you tumble into a dream... in the
Stillness of the night... remembering the
moments that always come back when stars shine bright.
Beautiful poetry and Art. tenderly, Pat
a forever love poem, beautiful in its concept and delivery.
and you know you had me at "oldie but goodie"
the title made me think of Lionel Richie...
